People often associate the phrase “Keep Portland Weird” with our home town of Portland, Oregon. The sometimes-outlandish culture of Portland has become as much a part of the city’s identity as specialty coffee or craft beer and spirits. But, you may ask, what is “weird”?
Portland’s brand of weird may be thought by some to be a flame throwing Darth Vader riding around on a unicycle, a donut shop that puts captain crunch on top of their donuts or a man dressed up as goofy playing a trumpet. But to Portland natives, weird is simply the norm. Portland’s weird is about inclusiveness, where “weird” is welcoming all walks of life with open arms.
It was growing up in Portland, Oregon where uniqueness is valued and change is embraced that inspired the launch of PDXYZ. The PDXYZ stretches the boundaries of a typical business summit, creating unique experiences, intriguing insight, and access to some of the most innovative minds working in business to create culture and products that resonate across generations, cultures and Ethnicities.

We launched the PDXYZ in Portland, OR back in 2019 from feedback the we had received from our PEER 150 Members across the country. Their desire was to create a unique, peer driven experience that was outside-the-box from your traditional event or trade-show. Not only did they want incredible content & networking, but also the ability to explore and embrace the culture of Portland, OR.
The PDXYZ will bring 250+ of the most innovative Business Leaders from across the country for an interactive experience focused on “Bridging the Generational & Equity Gap in Business”. The PDXYZ will be held at multiple venues to help you experience the culture of Portland, including, Vestas Headquarters, Portland Center Stage At The Armory & Wieden + Kennedy Headquarters.
