The Search for Humanity: What employers can do to drive human flourishing.

The world is at an inflection point. Human rights abuses, the rise of nationalism, the emergence of hate, chronic disparities based on race, age, sex, religion, and sexual orientation are occurring across the globe. Government has a role in addressing these challenges, but corporate responsibility must take on a new meaning if we have any hope to move society to be fairer, more just, and more human

In this session, we will explore the following priorities that employers must consider in this era of transformation:

  1. Prioritize sustainability. Offer products and services that are safe and developed responsibly.
  2. Create workplaces that are diverse, equitable and inclusive where all employees are valued for who they are and can achieve their full potential.
  3. Promote continuous developmentas a way of life for their employees.
  4. Be clear and transparent about their values and operateaccordingly both inside and outside of their walls - even if it means losing employees, customers, or investors.
  5. Give voice to the voiceless. Employers can use their influence to affect broader social issues that are aligned with their vision.
